#15 – JT Barnett on Authentic Virality and Building a Brand

"You need to look at your Instagram as if you're a brand... every single person in the world should look at themselves as a brand. The internet has removed the middleman, and now every person has the opportunity to be a brand themselves."

- JT Barnett

In today’s episode of The Synchronicity Show I sit down with Ex-Professional Ice Hockey Player turned content creator JT Barnett to discuss authentic virality and building a brand.

Born in Scottsdale, Arizona, JT was introduced to sports, particularly Ice Hockey from an early age. His father, Mike Barnett, is regarded as one of the best agents in all of sports and is best known for representing hockey icon Wayne Gretzky for over two decades.

Following in his father’s footsteps, JT went on to play 5 seasons in the WHL (Western Hockey League), 2 in the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League), and 2 more seasons split between teams in Russia, Sweden, and France.

After hanging up the skates, JT discovered his love for content creation, personal optimization, and mindfulness, and has gone on to grow three separate social media channels… most recently being TikTok’s HoneyHouse that currently has over 1.1 Million followers and has been featured in E! News, Business Insider, NY Times and more as the Top 20 TikTok Houses You Need to Know.

JT lives his life by the motto “Do Cool Shit, Be A Good Dude, and in this episode we discuss everything from playing professional hockey and how it affected him mentally, mindfulness and daily practices that have propelled him towards success, creating content for a HoneyHouse, a TikTok channel with over 1.1 M followers, and more…

So, without further ado… please enjoy the show!
